Frequently asked questions
Quick answers for students and society PROs.
For students
What is UI-PMO?
UI-PMO is a free hub where University of Ibadan campus societies list hackathons, bootcamps, grants, pitch contests, debates, sports and games, conferences, tutorials, internships and jobs, and scholarships in one place.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Browse, search and filter freely. You only need to sign in for features that need your email.
What does the blue tick mean?
The listing was posted using the society's private access code, so it came from that society's official PRO. Listings marked "Posted by UI-PMO" were added by the admin on behalf of a society that is not yet on the platform. They have no tick.
Are listings checked?
New posts wait for admin approval before they show. We still cannot guarantee every opportunity, so always check the official link before you share personal details or pay anything. Never pay to apply for a job or scholarship.
What does the countdown mean?
It shows the time left until the deadline. Orange means less than 3 days. Closed listings leave the main feed. Tick "Show closed" to see recent ones.
How do I filter for my faculty and level?
Use the Faculty and Level boxes under the category tabs. Listings open to everyone always show.
What is the Weekly Digest?
It builds a ready-to-paste WhatsApp message of the best upcoming listings so you can share them with your class group.
I found a wrong or suspicious listing.
Open it and tap "Report this listing". The admin reviews every report.
What do you collect about me?
Only anonymous counts of views and clicks, so societies can see what works. No names or phone numbers are collected from browsing.
For society PROs
How do I post for my society?
Tap Post Opportunity, choose your society, enter your society's access code, fill in the form and submit. The admin reviews it before it goes live (unless your society is set to publish automatically).
I do not have an access code.
Codes are given to the official PRO of each society by the UI-PMO admin. If your society is not listed yet, contact the admin. They can post for you in the meantime.
Can I edit or delete my post?
Yes. Tap Manage Posts, choose your society, enter the code, then edit or delete any of your society's posts. Edited posts go back for approval unless your society publishes automatically.
Why was my post rejected?
Usually because it was outside the accepted categories, the link did not work, or the details were unclear. Fix it and post again.
What can I post?
Hackathons, bootcamps, grants, pitch contests, debates, sports and games, conferences, tutorials, internships and jobs, and scholarships. Parties, social nights, election content and casual announcements are not allowed. See the PRO terms.
Someone else has my code.
Tell the admin straight away. A new code can be issued and the old one stops working.
Can I see how my posts perform?
Not yet inside the PRO screen. The admin can see views and clicks per listing and can share them with you.
